What To Expect at the ISVS Symposium 2017

  • This year’s symposium will be hosted in Sibiu, Romania.  
  • Our primary goal and objective is to united vascular surgeons from the East and from the West from all around the globe to share their knowledge, expertise and innovative research.  
  • The symposium will highlight the latest directions of research, most up-to-date techniques and changes in current practice, in an exclusive and dynamic program consisting of 3 days of presentations and case reports, theoretical courses and live surgery cases, designed for cardiac and vascular surgeons, interventional cardiologists, interventional radiologists and other specialists.
  • Listen to your colleagues present their own data, opinions, etc. on the podium where they will earn recognition and respect from key opinion leaders.
  • Endorsed by the International Society for Vascular Surgery, and supported by Irish and Romanian organisations.

Veith Symposium 2016 - a great success!

The Western Vascular was extremely successful at this years Veith symposium.

First and Second prize for the best clinical paper and cost effectiveness paper went to the Irish team, Esraa Hegazy (1st) and Patrick Canning (2nd), both from the WVI. Congratulations!!

Top NUIG students also won awards for best research on AAA, carotid surgery and overall academic achievement.

All VEITHsymposium and International Society For Vascular Surgery, Inc. associate faculty abstracts have been published in a special supplement of Vascular.
A huge thank you to everyone who made the supplement a fantastic success.

Aortic Dissection Awareness Day - Galway

The Galway Clinic will be hosting Aortic Dissection Awareness Day on Saturday, October 1, 2016. The aim of this day is to bring together those in the field so they may share their clinical experience with their peers and the public. Registration and attendance for this event is free. 

This event is endorsed by the International Society for Vascular Surgery (ISVS).

UPDATE: This event has now been CPD approved (3.5 CPD credits).
